Pandemic Changes
Implemented 03/2020, Updated 02/03/2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following changes are being made. Please understand that our knowledge of this virus is changing daily, so further changes may need to be made. Midwives are working hard to continue to provide our services as safely as possible for both ourselves and the families we serve. When this pandemic is over, we look forward to returning to our regular schedule.
The birth team will be wearing masks for all encounters as a precaution in case we have been unknowingly exposed.

Please observe social distancing precautions. Mothers who are infected with COVID-19 might experience more complications in pregnancy as it appears the virus may cause damage to the placenta. Mothers with symptoms of COVID-19 at the onset of labor will need to be transferred to the hospital for birth so taking precautions to avoid any kind of respiratory illness is important during this time.
If anyone in your household is sick on the day or within 48 hours of a scheduled in-person visit, your visit will need to be rescheduled. Thank you.
You may bring one support person with you to visits. For the time being, we ask that you do not bring children to the office if at all possible.
I ask that clients who come to the office for visits immediately wash their hands upon arrival. To reduce the risk of clients coming into contact with each other, we need to start and finish your appointment on time. Please reschedule if anyone in your household is ill and do not bring anyone to the office who is ill.
